Fair Housing at Keller Property Management
Every applicant and resident gets the same fair, consistent process. Keller Property Management follows the federal Fair Housing Act and Massachusetts fair housing law (M.G.L. c.151B).
Who is protected
Federal law prohibits housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), familial status and disability. Massachusetts adds protection for age, marital status, ancestry, genetic information, military or veteran status, and receipt of public assistance or a rental voucher, including Section 8 and RAFT. Massachusetts also protects families with children under six from discrimination because of lead paint.
How we apply it
The same written screening criteria apply to every applicant for a unit.
We accept housing vouchers and other lawful sources of income.
We review requests for reasonable accommodations and modifications for residents and applicants with disabilities, including assistance animals.
Our listings describe the property, not the kind of person we want living there.
The owner makes the final approval decision, using the same criteria for everyone.
Our training
Matt Keller, KPM’s owner, is a licensed Massachusetts real estate salesperson and has completed the fair housing training the state requires.
